On November 4, 2025, a meeting of the Republican Educational and Methodological Association (RUMO) in the field of “Mechanics and Metalworking” was held at Аксуский колледж чёрной металлургии (Aksu, Pavlodar Region).

The event was conducted in both offline and online formats, bringing together teachers of specialized disciplines and representatives of профильные colleges from all regions of the country.

The meeting was moderated by Aigul Syzdykova, Chairperson of RUMO and Director of the Polytechnic College of Казахмыс Corporation.

A welcoming speech was delivered by Nurgul Uisembayeva, Coordinator of Talap.

During the meeting, participants:

• reviewed the RUMO work plan for the 2025–2026 academic year;

• presented college reports on workforce training, specific features of educational programs, and cooperation with partner enterprises;

• discussed the organization of joint professional skills competitions for students in non-ferrous metallurgy, ferrous metallurgy, and foundry production in the WorldSkills format for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Representatives of colleges from the cities of Темиртау, Риддер, Усть-Каменогорск, Аксу, Павлодар and Балхаш presented best practices in vocational education.

At the end of the meeting, the results were summarized and recommendations were adopted for further cooperation between профильные educational organizations.

The RUMO meeting became an important platform for experience sharing, discussion of current challenges, and strengthening professional ties in the field of technical and vocational education.
